Scott Eastwood isn’t just an actor; he also comes from a famous family. However, during a recent conversation, he shared that a life in Hollywood isn’t quite what some people think it is. In particular, he also shared a few choice words for another actor, one who walked out during the middle of a project.
Scott Eastwood Has Appeared In A Number Of Famous Films, Including His Father’s Projects
Scott is the son of Hollywood actor Clint Eastwood, with him being one of two children Clint shares with his ex, Jacelyn Reeves, along with Kathryn. In addition to the two, Clint is also the father of six other children.
As an actor himself, Scott has appeared in a number of his father’s films, including Flags of Our Fathers and Gran Torino. Scott has also appeared in films like Suicide Squad, Snowden, Pacific Rim Uprising, and Wrath of Man.
Recently, Eastwood appeared during an episode of Joe Rogan’s PowerfulJRE podcast. At the time, he opened up about what it’s like working in Hollywood.
While not naming anyone, Scott recently discussed an actor that he had “just worked with” who dropped out of a project during its pre-production. While promoting his new film, Lucky Strike, Scott shared, “Without saying any names … you know, people get too famous for too long. They think the world owes them something.” According to Scott, this mystery actor “just left” in the middle of production, despite the film being “their story.”
Scott Felt That Some People Only ‘Think’ That They Want To Be Famous
Scott continued, “And when it comes to doing the right thing, you’re like, ‘Dude … Do the right thing, don’t be a piece of s****.’ They’re like, ‘F*** that. I can do whatever.’” The actor highlighted that dropping out of a project ultimately wastes a lot of the effort and resources already put into a project. He explained, “We started working on a film with a director and they decided, after we spent a bunch of money, that they just didn’t feel like they wanted to work with this other person and didn’t want to do the job.”
As the actor noted, while there are things that cannot be returned, like time, some actors don’t even put in the effort to compensate what they can. He shared, “I was like, ‘You need to pay that money back to that person who invested in you.’ And they [said], ‘I’m not going to do that.’
Speaking with Rogan, Scott shared that it seems that actors often behave in ways that most people wouldn’t consider. He expressed, “I’ve seen some behavior in this business that is shocking. That would not go in other industries, but for some reason because we idolize [actors] … you’re like, ‘What dude?’”
“People think they want to be famous — you don’t want to be famous. Rich, sure. But to be famous, that goal is so twisted … the whole other side of that is really ugly.”
