Earlier this year, Kimberly Van Der Beek lost her husband, James Van Der Beek, to colorectal cancer at the young age of 48. Kimberly got married to the Dawson’s Creek star back in 2010. They had nearly 16 years together, during which they had six children. While they were so in love, it wasn’t always smooth sailing.
Through their pregnancy journey, they lost many babies, several during the second trimester. Kimberly has always been very open about her loss.
Apparently, the loss of her husband is no different. Now, just months after losing her husband, she is posting a tribute about him on their wedding anniversary.
Paying Tribute To James Van Der Beek
Kimberly has taken to her Instagram to share a very sweet tribute to her late husband as their first anniversary without him has arrived.
“16 years ago I was the luckiest woman in the world to marry @vanderjames. The beauty of this marriage continues to unfold everyday with all these incredible children we have. He continues to be present and guide us. I’m eternally grateful. 🙏🌹😍🥰,” she writes in a heartfelt caption.
In addition to the sweet words, she also shared several photos of herself with her husband and even one with all their children. It’s clear just how much love she has for him still.
