Kensington has expanded its partnership with Ancestry, announcing the launch of new Personal Heritage Journeys itineraries that offer travellers more ways to explore the towns, regions and historical sites directly connected to their family history.
The operator explains that a Personal Heritage Journey is more than a tour, it’s a privately guided trip built entirely around a family’s roots and a powerful way for travelers to connect with their own past. Kensington invites them to Go with Gratitude, stepping into a story that they have only ever read about.

Launched in March 2021 in partnership with Ancestry, Kensington’s Personal Heritage Journeys offer the most personal, in-depth and privately guided exploration of a client’s family roots, built on DNA insights and professional genealogical research.
Each experience pairs a Kensington Destination Expert with a genealogist from AncestryProGenealogists, who together uncover detailed family history and design a custom itinerary centered on the most significant sites and events from that history.
With each trip, clients can also customize how deeply they wish to explore their family story. Three levels of research options offer a range of pre-trip genealogical work, from foundational research to comprehensive investigation into a family’s tree and history.
The expanded collection now includes updated and new itineraries in Sicily, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Germany, Scotland, Poland, England and Ghana. Sample regions families can explore include:
