Dispatch audio recordings from that day obtained by Page Six revealed that dispatchers were alerted to a black BMW convertible reportedly traveling “in and out of lanes” while speeding along Highway 101 in Ventura County before officers moved in.
Additional radio traffic described the vehicle as “erratic[ly] braking, swerving and driving with no taillight,” prompting one officer to request, “Can we send all units down towards this area, please?”
Minutes later, another responding officer reported, “Talking with the driver. Driver is out of the vehicle,” confirming the stop had been made. Spears was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on March 4 and later released pending court proceedings.

Following her March arrest, Britney Spears voluntarily checked into a rehabilitation facility as part of what her representatives described as an effort to prioritize her health and recovery.

She was also sentenced to 12 months of summary probation, ordered to complete a 30-hour first-offender DUI education program, and must pay state-mandated fines and fees.
Prosecutors said the plea offer was consistent with first-time offenders who had no prior DUI convictions, no crash or injuries, and a relatively low blood alcohol level, adding that Spears’ decision to voluntarily seek treatment also factored into the resolution.
