Vanderpump Rules followed a group of friends employed by Lisa Vanderpump at her SUR restaurant in Los Angeles, California. SURvers Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney, and Kristen Doute were especially close. Social media user @pumptinis shared an editing mishap they discovered while watching House of Stassi. “Ope someone forgot to update the captions after changing the audio on #HouseOfStassi guess that confirms the katie maloney engagement,” they wrote on a post that included screenshots of the alleged editing mistake.
“How’s your fiance?” Ariana Madix asked Katie Maloney, according to the closed captions. “My fiance,” Katie responded before agreeing that yes, it was “fun to say ‘my fiance’” Katie Maloney has been dating musician Nick Martin since 2024. He’s the guitarist for the band Sleeping With Sirens. She was previously married to Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz from 2016 until 2022.
